Title: I’m Not Calling You a Liar
Fandom: Dragon Age 2
Characters: Nell Hawke and Varric
Notes: A light-hearted discussion turns a bit more serious at The Hanged Man. (Nell Hakwe and this work are my brain babies, Bioware claims the rest.)
”I’m not calling you a liar,” Nell said with…
Go read it, guys. :)
Edit: This is why you don’t multitask while Tumblring if you’re me. You double post links. XD
About Stories
Once again, the thing I’ve written is too short to make a proper post of it, so I suppose you lot get it instead. I think I’ll make a habit of posting my shorter stuff up on tumblr now: I often write short drabbles like this but because they’re not very long I feel embarrassed putting them up on the lj community. The more informal format here makes it less embarrassing, somehow.
Anyway. This was written with the prompt ‘Varric’s first story’ from the lj community sloshing about in my head. I have a lot of Feelings about Varric as a character, and about his stories and the world he constructs, and his role with Hawke’s own story. The title is a reference to Waterland by Graham Swift, one of my favourite novels, that’s also about stories and narratives and repetition. Hopefully that goes a little way towards explaining where this came from.

Rating: G
Summary: Once there was a younger son.
Read this, guys. It’s fantastic.
Chapter 2 of my Varric/f!Hawke fic, “What Are Friends For?” is now up on LiveJournal. If, you know, you’re interested in that kind of thing.
I think you should read it. F!Hawke/Varric, although we’re going to have Anders action first and some Fenris/Isabela in there as well. I’ve been told the characterization is good, and I’m not half-bad at writing prose.
Won’t you give it a look?
Can’t wait until I’m off work, so I can properly read this. :) I love me some F!Hawke/Varric fic.
